For many tourists, the tulip season is one of the highlights of their visit to Holland. This page is dedicated to Prewedding Keukenhof photography. My name is Dario Endara, And I am a professional photographer in the Amsterdam area. In the past 15 years, I have photographed many couples from overseas at the Keukenhof flower gardens. I therefore know the best spots in the park, away from the crowds.
There are many flower fields in the Netherlands, which bloom in April and early May. The weather during this time is usually mild, with lots of sunshine. It is during this time that many couples visit the Netherlands to have their pre wedding photos taken amongst these beautiful flowers. Seeing these tulip fields with your own eyes is truly a sight to behold. It’s really impressive to see the endless fields with so many different colors and different types of flowers. It’s no wonder that so many people visit this beautiful part of the country.
Perhaps the most iconic flower garden, and also the biggest one in the world is the Keukenhof flower gardens. Known all over the world for its abundance of many different flowers, this park attracts visitors from all parts of the world. It is located in the Netherlands in the town of Lisse, about 40 km from Amsterdam. For this reason, the flower park is perfect to combine with a prewedding shoot in Amsterdam. Every year, approximately 7 million flower bulbs are being planted. They vary from tulips, daffodils and other flowers. This park has various different sections, ranging from traditional English gardens, to botanical gardens and more. If you are a flower lover, this park is an absolute must for your prewedding photos in Holland. In the middle of the park is a big traditional Dutch windmill which is also surrounded by cherry blossom trees and many different colorful flowers. With many years of experience, you can count on my expertise to show you the best spots in the park. I recommend visiting this park later in the day, when most of the day trippers from Amsterdam are on their way home. It’s at this time of the day that I believe the park is at its best. The light shines through the canopy, creating a spotlight on some of the flowers. With the soft light hitting the trees, your photos will be so much nicer than if we were to do a shoot during the day. Needless to say, when planning a professional photoshoot at this park, try to take this into account. It will make your photos look so much better!

Outside of the Keukenhof flower park are the endless colorful flower fields that Holland is most famous for. It’s these fields that you often see on Instagram. A walk through the fields is a must when visiting the nearby flower park. Here you will find tulips ranging from pink, red, yellow and other flowers with different shades of white, blue and purple. Each section has different colors and different types of flowers. Walking in this sea of flowers is truly a once in a lifetime experience. During a prewedding shoot, we will include these flower and tulip fields as part of the itinerary. Having photographed many prewedding shoots in Keukenhof, Amsterdam, and Zaanse Schans, you can count on my expertise to take you to the best places so you have the park and fields all to yourself! The park is open every year from mid-March to mid-May, but the perfect time to view the tulips in full bloom is in late April, depending on the weather. Because the fields can be found right outside the park, visiting later in the day means empty fields. Being a local photographer in the area, I do provide transportation to other flower fields nearby. This way, you can choose which colors you want to include in your photoshoot. With so many colors, couples often find it hard to choose from, but together we look for the best spots! I want you to be happy with your photos and I will make sure to go that extra mile!
