Every year, the Keukenhof flower gardens in the Netherlands are in full bloom between late March hand early May. It’s no surprise that these flower gardens are one of the most popular day trips from Amsterdam. As a local photographer in the Amsterdam area, I do many proposal shoots in Keukenhof and the nearby tulip fields. I know the best places for your proposal photography and will make sure to capture these unforgettable moments in a professional way. On this page, I’ll give you some tips on what I focus on and how I can help you plan the perfect proposal shoot for your proposal in Keukenhof, the tulip fields or somewhere else in the Netherlands.
As the Keukenhof gardens are only open for about 8 weeks throughout the year, planning your visit is important. The best time in my opinion is from mid-April until early May. This is the time the gardens are in full bloom, making it the perfect backdrop for a proposal shoot. As a bonus, this is also the time that the surrounding tulip fields are at their peak, featuring countless rows of different colored tulips and other flowers. Tulip season is a busy month, so make sure to contact me on time to ensure availability.

I always take couples to Keukenhof later in the day for proposal photography or pre-wedding shoots. This is the time that most of the crowds have left and the park is nice and quiet. It’s also the best time for soft lighting, giving your proposal a more romantic feel. As I am specialized in pre-wedding and proposal photography in Keukenhof, I know all the best spots in the park. This way you will have privacy during the actual proposal, creating a moment to remember forever!

Setting up a proposal shoot can be nerve wrecking as you want to keep it a secret to your fiancé. I am here to help you plan your perfect proposal shoot and will think along on how to make it a success, so you can focus on the moment itself and not worry about any of the logistics. With my years of experience, I know how to guide you and create that unforgettable moment when your fiancé says ‘I do’! So all you have to do, is focus on getting on your knee and asking your fiancé to marry you 🙂

Those are my tips for planning the ultimate and perfect proposal shoot in Keukenhof gardens and the surrounding tulip fields. If you want to see more of my work, make sure to check out this page too to get a better idea of my style as a proposal and pre wedding photographer in the Netherlands.
